Rotating Grille
Rotary screens are core equipment in the pretreatment stage of wastewater treatment. They are widely used in municipal sewage, industrial wastewater (such as chemical, food, printing and dyeing, and papermaking) and rainwater treatment systems. Their core function is to intercept and automatically remove suspended debris (such as branches, plastic bags, fibers, sand, etc.) from the water, preventing blockage of subsequent pumps, pipes, reactors and other equipment, and ensuring the continuous and stable operation of the water treatment process.
Description
Its core structure includes a frame, a rotating chain/rake, a drive unit, a slag cleaning mechanism, and an electrical control system. Some high-end models will also include overload protection and automatic flushing functions. During operation, the rake rotates along the grid body with the chain, scooping up debris from the water. After being lifted to the top, the debris is scraped off by the slag cleaning plate and placed into a collection device (such as a slag hopper), achieving full automation of the "interception-scooping-slag cleaning" process without the need for continuous manual supervision.
Based on structural form, they can be divided into three categories: mesh type, toothed rake type, and arc type. Based on installation method, they can be divided into channel type and vertical type. The type can be flexibly selected according to the treatment volume (5-5000m³/h), the particle size of the debris (≥1mm), and the installation space. Compared with traditional manual bar screens, its advantages are high treatment efficiency (interception rate ≥95%), stable operation, low energy consumption, and adaptability to 24-hour continuous operation scenarios. It is a key device for "front-end control" in modern water treatment processes.
