Lime Silo
Types and Features:

Description
A lime silo is a specialized storage device used for storing, unloading, and metering lime powder or granules. It is widely used in environmental water treatment, desulfurization and denitrification processes to ensure a stable supply of lime raw materials to subsequent dosing systems.
Working principle:
Lime raw materials are fed into the silo for storage via pneumatic conveying or manual feeding; during unloading, the arch-breaking device at the bottom of the silo (such as a pneumatic arch breaker or a vibrating motor) can break up material bridging and clumping, ensuring smooth material falling; then, through unloading valves, screw conveyors and other conveying equipment, a certain amount of lime is conveyed to the feeding end according to process requirements. Some silos are also equipped with dust removal devices to prevent dust from escaping and polluting the environment during unloading.
Structural Composition:
The core structure includes the silo body (cylindrical body + conical bottom), feeding port, dust removal system, arch breaking device, unloading valve, screw conveyor, level gauge, maintenance platform, and other components. The silo body is mostly made of carbon steel or stainless steel, and the conical bottom design facilitates centralized material unloading; the level gauge can monitor the material level in the silo in real time, realizing automatic level alarm and replenishment reminder.

Application areas:
